Today I´m going to present an activity to work on corporal expression Corporal expression is a need for the child:   When a baby is born, he has to relate to the environment, especially to the adult. The only way to express himself is through the body, it is a need for the baby to survive (the gestures, movements of his hands and legs get meaning when the adult understands) The corporal expression development is essential for a comprehensive development. The body and its movement are the instruments of corporal expression. The baby expresses himself through movement. The corporal expression makes physical development possible and, also, other developments: affective, cognitive and social. The corporal expression is essential for the child, it is the main way of communication, it helps him to know himself, to know the other s and to manage the environment through his relation with objects.
