CORPORAL EXPRESSION
Hello!
How are you?
Today I´m going to present an activity to work on corporal expression
Corporal expression is a need for the child:
- When a baby is born, he has to relate to the environment, especially to the adult.
- The only way to express himself is through the body, it is a need for the baby to survive (the gestures, movements of his hands and legs get meaning when the adult understands)
- The corporal expression development is essential for a comprehensive development.
- The body and its movement are the instruments of corporal expression.
- The baby expresses himself through movement.
- The corporal expression makes physical development possible and, also, other developments: affective, cognitive and social.
The corporal expression is essential for the child, it is
the main way of communication, it helps him to know himself, to know the other
s
and to manage the environment through his relation with objects.
One example is a motor activity:
"The salmon Ramon says to scream like a lion
The leopard Tay invites you to jump very high
Pepito the monkey orders you to walk backwards very slowlyThe lord lizar says to run fordward
Mr.Don Cat says to come back very fast
The Little sheep Violet tells you to roll like a croquette
The zebta Ines wants you to walk on four legs
The cow Noa tells you to dance like a boa
The tortoise want us to relax closing our eyes"
While the children read the sentences, they must carry out the movements that each animal says
